Kforce has a client in need of a Construction Litigation Corporate Counsel in Pleasanton, CA. Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Handle complex construction litigation matters and insurance defense cases
- Collaborate directly with senior executives to align legal strategies with business objectives
- Provide guidance on construction law, statutory remedies, and contract drafting/review
- Support data-driven decision-making and assist in developing KPIs for outside counsel (details to be finalized with hiring manager)
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations while mitigating risk across the organization
Requirements
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school; Active California Bar membership required
- Minimum 4 years of litigation experience
- Proven expertise in construction litigation, including Construction defects; Insurance defense
- Prior law firm training required; Corporate/in-house experience acceptable only if litigation background is strong
- Strong communication skills and ability to present complex legal concepts to executives
Compensation and Benefits
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
