This position will be at Stow Urgent & Primary Care.

Assists in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating activities of designated units/services. Provides oversight in assigned department and manages day to day operations. Manages staff and assists in development and administration of departmental hospital policies, rules and regulations. Coaches and facilitates patient work teams to perform multifunctional patient care duties. Develops positive working relationships with physicians and supporting clinical departments.

1.Education and Training
*Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio.
*BSN preferred.
*BLS and ACLS required (ACLS not required for Hudson Specialty Center); PALS required for Emergency Department and PACU within 6 months of hire.
* Certification of specialty area preferred.

2.Experience
With BSN: Two (2) years related professional nursing experience which demonstrates clinical expertise and leadership abilities. Management experience preferred.
Without BSN: Three (3) to five (5) years of related professional nursing experience which demonstrates clinical expertise and leadership abilities. Management experience preferred.

3.Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications
Excellent communication and organizational skills needed. Working knowledge of personal computers and data base programs. Certification in specialty area may be required within two years of entering role based on department.

4.Physical Requirements
a.Requires full range of body motion which may include handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination
bRequires standing and walking for extended periods of time
c.Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range
d.May require exposure to communicable disease, body fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other potentially hazardous conditions common to a clinical environment, such as risk of falls, strains, etc.

5.Population Specific Competency
The incumbent will have the ability to effectively interact with populations of the patient (and his or her representative) with a sensitivity to the communication needs (other language, deaf or blind) and with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
