Job Summary

CenturyLink's internship program is a 10 week, fast-paced and exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study and career interest. Interns within the IT Agility and Core Services group will be part of an accelerated learning experience, to challenge skills learned in the classroom and develop new skills while working on active CenturyLink work projects. This department supports Consulting Services for external customers such as Cloud Consulting, Development, Testing, Data Analytics, Infrastructure and Network Consulting as well as IOT and SAP Consulting. The internship will take place in Dublin, OH. In addition, interns will connect to our company culture through community outreach projects, engage with our employee resource groups and be able to develop their professional skills and business acumen through frequent exposure to senior leadership, cutting-edge technology, groundbreaking projects, and a network of mentors and fellow interns. Job Description

• Work in the Application Services area under IT Services Consulting.
• Exposure to UI (user experience) development, requirements and design activities, User Experience Designs and working on automation of code build and pipeline processes through DevOps/DevSec methodologies.
• Involvement in activities such as documentation, reviewing requirements, and testing activities.


Minimum Requirements:
• Classification: Senior status or Master's level education at start of internship.
• Pursing a Bachelor s or Master's degree in CIS, MIS or EE career track that have interest in development and design careers.
• Currently enrolled at a 4-year accredited College or University at time of internship.
• 3.0 or above cumulative GPA.
• Available for Summer Internship Program: 5/26/2020 - 7/31/2020.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Educational experience with development, software development principles and deployment practices, such as requirements review and software design. Any code UI designing education a plus.
• Experience with C#, ASP.NET, Angular, Python or applicable technologies a plus.
• Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
• Highly motivated, organized, reliable and detail oriented.
• Capable of multi-tasking efficiently.
• Quick learner and not afraid to work with new technology.
• Professional attitude.
