Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an experienced Manager Mechanical Engineer 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.

The Space Vehicle (SV) Integration Lead (IL) reports to the Space Vehicle Project Manager. The SV Integration Lead directs 60 head multi-discipline team supporting the AMP SV project adjunct payload accommodation, task orders, and new business pursuits. The IL provides: technical, schedule and financial direction and control for the team; guidance and support to the business staff, clerical, and technical support personnel; and leadership for Engineering Change Proposals, customer requests for cost estimates, task orders and proposal efforts for new business. The IL works directly with customer counterparts including delivery of technical and programmatic content to high level government acquisition officers. This is a major role within a large, strategic program.

Personnel from all major process areas across the Space Vehicle IPT are managed by the IL. Strong System Engineering and hardware experience is a plus.

Basic Qualifications:

. A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a related STEM degree from an accredited university.

. A minimum 9 years of related space and defense industry experience.

. A proven ability to lead and influence a high performance team.

. DoD In scope/Active SCI Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

. A Master of Science degree in engineering or a related STEM degree from an accredited university.

. A minimum 15 years of related space and defense industry experience.

. Possess exceptional communication skills across all levels of the organization.
