About the Role
The Preschool Principal serves as the instructional and operational leader of the campus, responsible for academic quality, staff development, enrollment growth, compliance, financial performance, and community engagement. This role sets the tone for a nurturing, inspiring, and high-performing school culture where children, educators, and families thrive.
The Principal provides a clear vision for learning, ensures a safe and well-managed environment, and leads with both strategic perspective and day-to-day presence. Above all, this role keeps students at the center of every decision while building a cohesive, accountable, and mission-aligned school community.

School Leadership & Culture

Establish and communicate a clear vision for the school aligned to MerryhillSchool and Spring Education Group values

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of educators and support staff

Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative school culture rooted in care, accountability, and excellence

Ensure consistent, high-quality implementation of approved curriculum and instructional practices
Operations, Safety & Compliance
-
Oversee daily campus operations to ensure a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment

Maintain compliance with all state licensing, accreditation standards, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations
-
Uphold Spring Education Group policies, procedures, and operational expectations

Partner with facilities and operations teams to support building maintenance and emergency preparedness
Enrollment, Community & Growth

Drive enrollment growth and retention through strong family relationships and community engagement
-
Support and execute local outreach and grassroots marketing efforts in partnership with regional and corporate teams

Serve as a visible, responsive leader to families, staff, and community partners

Build trust through clear communication, follow-through, and consistent presence
Financial & Business Management

Manage school budgets and oversee profit and loss performance
-
Monitor enrollment trends, staffing ratios, and operational metrics

Use data to inform decisions that balance educational quality with financial sustainability
Educational Excellence & Collaboration

Contribute to the ongoing development of best practices across the preschool network

Collaborate with peer Principals and regional leaders to share insights and elevate outcomes
-
Model a commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth
What We're Looking For
-
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum of two years of experience in education administration, operational leadership, or business management within an early childhood setting

Meets all state-required licensing and credentialing requirements to lead a preschool or childcare program

Strong working knowledge of state licensing regulations, accreditation standards, and compliance best practices

Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop educators, and drive operational excellence
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with families, staff, and the broader community
