Your tasks and responsibilities as an Ultrasound Technologist (or Sonographer) include but are not limited to:

• Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner
• Accurately perform sonogram examinations in a timely manner
• Be responsible for recording and processing ultrasound images
• Maintain statistical results for quality improvement
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with radiologists regarding any unusual clinical findings, history, and/or test results

Qualifications

• A two-year Allied Health degree or successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP approved program
• ARDMS certification
• RVT - Registered Vascular Tech, or ARDMS Abdomen Specialty (AB), or ARDMS OB/GYN Specialty within 1 year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• 1-3 years previous experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
• Other skills needed: organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, reading, comprehension of written instructions, follow verbal instructions, basic computer, clerical
