Position Overview:The ideal candidate will possess experience in estate, corporate, and tax planning for high net worth individuals and families, as well as experience in client acquisition and management. This individual must be capable of handling all facets of estate administration, including probate, estate administration, and estate litigation when needed.Key Responsibilities:Provide legal advice and assistance to clients on trust and estate law matters, including estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
Draft and review trust documents, wills, power of attorney forms, and other related legal documents.Represent clients in court proceedings related to trust and estate matters.Advise clients on best practices for asset protection and tax planning.
Communicate with clients and other attorneys to ensure that all legal matters are resolved in a timely fashion.Monitor and review changes in trust and estate laws and regulations and ensure compliance.Maintain client records and confidential information.
Drafting of all estate planning documents (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare proxies, and living wills), charitable gifting, tax planning, and corporate and succession planning documents, such as LLCsQualifications:Juris Doctor from an accredited law schoolAdmitted to the NY bar and in good standing.Knowledge of trust and estate law, including estate planning, trust administration, and probate.Previous experience with elder law is a plus.
