About The Team:Noah Medical's Research and Development (R&D) Team is responsible for the development of endoluminal medical device solutions that are safe, effective, and on-time. We are a dynamic, data driven team and pride ourselves on our creative and collaborative approach to problem solving. We continuously strive for win-win solutions that our customers love.

Noah Medical R&D team members have the traditional role of design and prototyping but also take the lead on design requirements, specifications, design risk assessment, test methods, verification testing and more. R&D also plays a critical cross functional role in support through production and even field reliability. We are looking for curious, collaborative, energetic problem solvers who enjoy a challenge.

We welcome diverse thinkers and value both experience and fresh ideas.A Day In The Life Of Our Staff R&D Mechanical Engineer, Accessories:Design, prototype, and test single use medical device accessories involving injection molded parts, fluidics, coatings, and sterile packaging.Create engineering drawings to effectively communicate design intent to suppliers.

Work with technicians to assemble newly designed components into full device prototypes.Work with component suppliers to source both off-the-shelf and custom-designed parts. This will involve collaboration with suppliers from overseas.

Work with suppliers to resolve issues such as component non-conformances, inspection methods, and documentation.Contribute to design verification and validation activities such as specification generation, test method development, test execution, and test protocol/report writing.Perform complaint investigations to understand root causes, and identify and implement opportunities for improving the robustness of components and assembliesCollaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to troubleshoot issues that arise during ongoing operations.

This can include manufacturing/assembly processes and inspection processes.Exercise DFM (design for manufacturability) principles to enable cost-effective manufacture of the components and simplify assembly of the device.Develop and validate tools for site audit to ensure successful launchWork collaboratively and efficiently in a fast paced start-up environment with minimal supervision and guidance.

Provide mentorship to the less tenured engineersAbout You:B.S. or M.S. in mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline.5+ years of experience in design and development of mechanical systemsMinimum of 3 years of experience in development of disposable medical device accessoriesProficient in using Solidworks for design of components and creating complex assemblies.

Knowledge of various fabrication methods used in development of single use medical device accessories (eg plastic injection molding, sterile packaging, extruding, dipping, coating, rapid prototyping).Experience in development of fluidics is a plusProven experience with verification and validation of designs and fixturesFamiliarity with defect reporting and root cause analysis.Understanding of risk management systems and how they impact product development processes.

Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment.Demonstrated basic project management skills.Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for quality and continuous improvementEagerness to learn and to contribute to state of the art technology.
