Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. level Mechanical Systems engineers on the teamWhat you need:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering (or related) with 10+ years related to structural design/engineering or relevant disciplines. Relevant graduate degrees may account for post Bachelor's experience, eg MSME. Strong experience in areas such as:GD&T for mechanical systems.

Design for 14 CFR Part 23 compliance to systems requirements.Structural analysis utilizing hand calculations and finite element methods. Materials selection inclusive of alloys, heat treatments, allowables, and surface treatments.

Siemens NX CAD and Simcenter FEA tools.Roller element bearing selection and sizing.Involute gear tooth design and analysis.

Ball and/or Lead screw design and analysis.Analyses: Modal, nonlinear and linear buckling, fatigue. Exhibits ownershipAbility to thrive within ambiguityBonus Qualifications:Familiarity with PDM systemsProject/Program management experienceProficiency in Matlab, Python, Mathcad, and/or Labview.
