We are searching for a skilled Senior Tax Manager to join our clients growing tax group in Silver Spring, MD (hybrid in the office 3 days/week). This role is integral to the financial health of their organization, with responsibilities spanning across global tax provision processes, compliance, and strategic tax planning.

The Senior Tax Manager will lead in ensuring the accuracy of all tax disclosures in the financial statements and will be responsible for compliance with federal, state, and foreign direct and indirect tax regulations.Responsibilities: Lead the global provision for income taxes in accordance with ASC 740 for domestic and foreign subsidiaries Ensure accurate representation of the company's income tax provision and balance sheet tax accounts in the financial statements Maintain tax-related Sarbanes-Oxley 404 documentation and collaborate with internal/external auditors for the upkeep of Tax Department's internal controls Take charge of US federal, state, and foreign income tax compliance processes, ensuring all reporting requirements are met Oversee compliance with federal, state, and foreign indirect taxes, including sales & use, personal property, value-added, goods & services, and excise taxes Monitor and evaluate US tax risks and opportunities, and conduct analysis of tax regulatory and compliance requirements Collaborate with external consultants on tax-related projects and manage the tax budget for third-party adviser support Continually review and improve the company's approach to federal, state, and foreign tax workstreams Lead tax-related special projects, including research, transfer pricing studies, modeling of tax implications, and impacts of transactions Direct and manage team members, providing training, goal setting, performance evaluations, coaching, and mentoringThis is a phenomenal opportunity to grow your tax career at an amazing company that not only offers a fantastic compensation package but other perks like breakfast and lunch and onsite daycare. Requirements Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate tax compliance or a related role Proficiency in managing Annual Tax Provision Demonstrable experience in ASC 740, Form 1120, and IRS Form 1120S Expertise in preparing and reviewing Corporate Tax Returns and Consolidated Tax Returns Proven supervisory or managerial experience, overseeing teams or individuals Must possess a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification Familiarity with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and procedures Knowledge of SEC regulations is essential Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Advanced problem-solving abilities and analytical skills High level of professional ethics and integrity Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Job typePerm.
