Then keep reading - you've come to the right place.Role DescriptionThe Cell Engineering team within the Technology group at Form is multidisciplinary and focused on delivering qualified battery cell designs that meet operational performance targets, at cost and with high reliability, from controlled processes on high-volume manufacturing lines for Form Energy's utility-scale multi-day energy storage system.We're hiring an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Cell Engineering Design team in Berkeley, CA.

In this role, you will design sheet metal components and define their interfaces into the broader cell mechanical assembly. Additionally, you will contribute to process specification for sheet metal forming and welding operations in critical manufacturing processes. This role will work closely with our manufacturing engineering team to define and support battery cell assembly process and equipment design.

You will bring expertise in designing sheet metal components amenable to high volume production and assembly methods. Experience with typical metal welding processes is a plus.
