Responsibilities

As the Supervisor, RN-Transfer Center, you will supervise, coordinate, and provide leadership while directing activities of clinical/non-clinical or interdisciplinary teams of licensed and non-licensed caregivers and support staff delivering quality patient care and ensuring implementation of clinical objectives in an assigned area.

  • Assess daily patient access needs and ensure that appropriate patient care coordination is provided.
  • Provide oversight involving all aspects of schedule management focusing on transferring patients to other facilities within the market, other markets, and other healthcare facilities.
  • Delegate appropriate duties to clinical staff based on their assessed skills and abilities, maintaining proficiencies related to job functions and processes through ongoing monitoring of daily operations up to and including direct management of transfer cases.
  • Collect information from applicable sources to communicate information necessary to Transfer Center operations.
  • Collaborate with department leadership to ensure Transfer Center processes are up to date and followed.
  • Participate with ongoing quality initiatives, auditing projects and development of plans for improvement.
  • Conduct hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences
  • Registered Nurse with an active Oklahoma state license .
  • 1+ years experience in Transfer Center Operations, current Transfer Center associate preferred.
  • 2+ years experience in an RN leadership role, such as Charge Nurse, Team Leader, Supervisor, Manager, etc.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor staff members.
  • Demonstrated experience and/or understanding with technology (hardware and software).
  • Prior experience navigating multiple software applications simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated proficiently with Google workspace products.
