Description UH Parma ED is a Level III Trauma Center. The ED is a 32 bed unit with 24 beds on the main side including 23 monitor beds and 2 trauma bays. The Super Track area has 8 beds run by an Advanced Practice Provider.
Our ED Team is a giant family. We thrive on team work! If it wasn't for team work, the ED would struggle getting through the day. We spend a lot of time together, both in and outside of work. Our ED likes to joke around and have fun together while caring for our patients.
COMMON DIAGNOSES: Our ED sees it all Stroke, Chest Pain, Traumas, Abdominal Pain, OB Deliveries, Pediatrics, Mental Health, bumps, scrapes and broken bones. We never turn anyone away!
Shifts Available: Fulltime Days, Fulltime Nights, Fulltime Day/Night Rotating shifts

Position Summary
Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

Qualifications Qualifications
1 year RN experience required
Education
Other Accredited Program Diploma in Nursing or
(ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing Required
(BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
(MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing Preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge of nursing process and practice required.
Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices required.
Licenses and Certifications
Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio and Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Adult and Pediatric Advanced Life Support may be required based on clinical area standards.
