The Medical Director, Global Scientific Communications for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for advancing and facilitating medical communication, scientific dissemination, and external education activities. This position requires a strategic and detail-oriented professional to develop and execute a comprehensive scientific communications plan that is aligned with medical strategies and business objectives.

The overall scientific communications plan includes but may not be limited to medical scientific conference engagements and support, strategic publications plans, medical educations plan, and advisory board planning.This position is a member of the Medical Scientific Affairs Team and will be fully remote. You will be a part of the External Scientific Engagement & Medical Education Team and report to the Senior Director, Scientific Engagement & Medical Education responsible for advancing and facilitating the development of medical communication plan, scientific dissemination, and external education activities. Provide appropriate medical scientific (MedSci)-aligned medical education to the medical community to drive appropriate utilization of Beckman Coulter offeringsDevelop a Beckman Coulter MedSci publication platform for tracking of internal publications and for developing and executing strategic publication plans aligned with company medical objectivesCollaborate with medical directors to ensure appropriate planning and timely execution of scientific advisory boards to support product development, KOL engagement, and research collaborationDevelop yearly MedSci conference and data presentation plans in collaboration with appropriate internal business stakeholdersCollaborate with medical directors to ensure appropriate planning and timely execution of scientific advisory boards to support product development, KOL engagement, and research collaborationThe essential requirements of the job include: Medical Communications: Demonstrated accomplishments in medical communications within diagnostics/biotech/pharmaceutical companies, evidenced through publication of manuscript or development of educational materials.Familiarity with ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) & GPP (Good Publication Practice) and ability to apply these guidelines and standards to educational and publication planning.Bachelor's degree in Scientific field with 14+ years of relevant experience OR Master's degree in Scientific field with 12+ years relevant experience OR Doctorate degree in Scientific field with 9+ years relevant experienceGlobal Collaboration: Ability to effectively collaborate in a dynamic, global environment, understanding disease states and treatment decision algorithms to support educational material development.

Ability to travel up to 30% or as requiredIt would be a plus if you also possess the following technical knowledge and/or certifications:Technical Proficiency: Smartsheet, and Miro digital platform Database Management: Experience with global conference and publications database management systems (eg PubSTRAT) Certification in ACCME (Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education), CMPP (Certified Medical Publication Professional)At Beckman Coulter Diagnostics we believe in designing a better, more sustainable workforce. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
