The group is part of the Enterprise Computing (EC) Organization at Morgan Stanley. We support several Data infrastructure applications including BI virtualization systems like Microsoft Analysis Services (OLAP), Business Objects XI, QlikView, Tableau, PowerBI and various other reporting distributed applications.The role is largely infrastructure and involves day-to-day handling of infrastructure and user incidents, escalations, technical troubleshooting as well as server application deployment, automation or various tasks, building self-service tools and documenting process and procedures.

The job responsibilities also include working closely with the BI and Reporting squads and business IT teams, planning and execution of varying projects and deliverables which include data and metrics analysis, dashboards and reporting as well as modernization and automation projects.The role also requires availability for weekend and on-call work on a rotation basis.QualificationsSkills Required:- A minimum of 7+ years of overall IT experience with proven record in automation.

- Good knowledge of Unix/Linux system administration both infrastructure and Application management.- Strong understanding of various networking protocols like TCP, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS- Experience working relational databases and SQL language.- General understanding of Windows server administration.

- Experience in scripting and automation of operational tasks in one or more languages like Python, Shell/PowerShell Scripting, Ansible,etc- ITIL knowledge, including incident/change/problem management - Ability to manage high-pressure situations for outage-handling - Strong organizational skills to deliver on time and the ability to manage multiple tasks in high pressure situations for Incident handling, management and resolution. - Effective oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.- Independent problem-solving skills, self-motivated, and a mindset for taking ownership.

Skills Desired:- Windows and/or IIS administration experience- Azure or any cloud platform experience- Tomcat/Apache experience- ITIL certification- Experience working in an agile framework, ie scrum or Kanban - Prior experience working in the financial services industryExpected base pay rates for the role will be between $140,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.Morgan Stanley's goal is to build and maintain a workforce that is diverse in experience and background but uniform in reflecting our standards of integrity and excellence.
