You will play a lead role in establishing seasonal Accessories merchandising strategy and driving unique assortment for all US boutiques in accordance with global and regional strategies for the Costume Jewelry, and Other Accessory Product Categories.

This position will be a key support role for the Head of US Accessories and Handbags will be a qualified leader to manage a team of buyers and provide effective guidance and mentorship. What impact you can create at CHANEL:You will be a key contributor to driving the annual business planning, financial reporting and budget forecasting for the Accessory business in partnership with the Planning team, and creating and delivering compelling communication around strategiesYou will partner with and support the Head of Accessories to set the vision with a transformational mindset to inspire and ensure the success of strategic business plans for AccessoriesYour impact will be felt by your ability to maintain full awareness of business opportunities/challenges by market, draw insightful and actionable conclusions from business analysis, and deliver business recaps with recommendations to the Head of Accessories and other senior executivesYou will lead a team of buyers in defining the optimal product assortment to maintain the brand's image visionYou will play an active role in leadership development through coaching, mentorship and development of members of the team You will drive the US Pricing strategy for Accessories and play a lead role in the approach of all other categoriesYou'll have the ability to forge strong relationships with internal departments to ensure alignment across cross-functional teams to achieve business goalsYou'll understand the client through data sharing from our Client Analytics team creating and executing merchandising strategies that optimize the client product journeyActively following the industry, key influencer, and seasonal trends, you'll have a strong pulse on the overall economic landscape and competitive market at all timesYou will partner closely and ensure a cohesive approach with other Fashion product category Directors (Handbags, Ready-to-Wear and Shoes) across the Retail Merchandising teamsParticipate in and oversee team's involvement in in-store activities and events to build and enhance direct client relationshipsYou will oversee Buyers in the OTB process that involves close partnership with the Planning team, which includes analyses of sales, full price sell-thru, markdown history/projections and receiptsReviewing sales trends on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and seasonal basis, and adjusting business strategies/financial plans, as necessary, you will ensure sales and profitabilityYou are energized by Having a strong analytical mindset. In this role you will be comfortable with independently formulating theories and drawing conclusions from large, complex sets of dataBeing proactive, agile, and resilient - you'll be comfortable with complexity and ambiguityExpressing Innate curiosity, intuition, drive, & authenticityHaving a strong ability to think holistically and create/execute strategiesExpressing energy, enthusiasm, and passion about retail and product with a strong aesthetic understanding and demonstrated taste levelHaving a service mentality and mindset with proven ability to create and foster cross-functional relationshipsPosition Logistics:Bachelor's Degree required, MBA a plus8+ years of experience in related strategic/analytical role with demonstrated results in driving a business and successfully leading a teamUp to 30-40% regular and frequent travel (international and domestic)The anticipated base salary range for this position is $133,900-$170,000 Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position.
