Sodexo is seeking an experienced temporary Registered Dietitian (18 weeks, starting July 1, 2024) for an outpatient bariatric position at New York Presbyterian Medical Group in Fresh Meadows, NY. The Bariatric Surgery Program at New York-Presbyterian Queens is accredited as a Comprehensive Center by the American College of Surgeons through the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program .

Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the successful candidate will:

• provide exceptional nutrition care to pre- and post-operative bariatric and non-surgical weight management patients;
• be well-versed in bariatric standards of care and emerging research;
• provide individualized counseling as well as virtual group education classes/support groups;
• participate in quality improvement projects within the department, as needed; and
• efficiently and effectively organize clinical nutrition and patient care responsibilities.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:

• Registered Dietitian and CDN (Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist) credentials in New York (required), some bariatric experience preferred;
• excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups;
• strong verbal and written communication skills;
• strong time management skills; and
• the ability to work with minimal oversight in collaboration with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision

Credentials Requirement:

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
• Specialty credential in area(s) of focused practice, as applicable, or advanced practice certification (RD-AP/RDN-AP)
