Commercial Refrigeration Technician - Baton Rouge

EVALUATION HIRE

$17-$23/Hr. depending on experience

Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing and recruiting firm, is currently seeking an HVAC-certified Commercial Refrigeration Technician in the Baton Rouge area. This candidate must have a positive, friendly attitude as this person will be customer facing in both residential and commercial settings. This candidate must have experience working with commercial kitchen appliances such as refrigerators, ice makers and stoves.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Technician:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair various types of HVAC/R systems, including but not limited to air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, walk-in coolers/freezers, ice machines, and heating systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of HVAC/R systems.
• Troubleshoot complex HVAC/R issues and provide effective solutions to restore functionality.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to plan and execute HVAC/R installations and upgrades.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on HVAC/R systems to prevent accidents and ensure compliance.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and hours worked.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, explaining service options, and offering recommendations for system improvements.
• Excellent attendance, and showing up to job sites on time to provide customers timely repairs.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Valid HVAC technician license or certification (eg, EPA 608 Certification).
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC/R systems, including knowledge of electrical circuits, refrigeration principles, and mechanical components.
• Strong understanding of HVAC/R codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing time and tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
• Experience with commercial kitchen equipment.
• Must have a great attitude, and attendance.
• Must be customer service oriented.
• Valid Drivers License is REQUIRED.
