Franciscan Surgical Associates at St. Joseph Medical Center is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Tacoma, Washington. You will work with our colorectal surgeon and patients. Monday-Friday with built in admin time. No call other than during clinic hours.

Core components of this position include:

• First Assist on surgery procedures
• Clinic duties for new and established patients
• Inpatient hospital rounding and patient management
• Consultations, discharges, managing order, patient history, and surgery prep

Requirements include:

• Graduate from a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
• Candidate must have at least two years surgical experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• Licensed in the state of Washington as a P.A or ARNP by the time of employment
• Certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
• DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association
