Job Summary
Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity? As a Cloud platform lead you will join a highly talented team that is working on moving Data Analytics platform from on prem to cloud. You will get to work on Multi-cloud big data SaaS products that enables the Registering of data, movement of data from on-Prem to cloud, whilst ensuring data quality, completeness and accuracy of data.

You will be tasked with building components that are scalable, resilient, highly available for Multi-tenant use.You will work on Big Data Cloud platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake and will be responsible for architecting and implementing Data Shipment, Data Cataloging, Data processing components in cloud.You will exhibit an engineering mind-set, be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the various cloud technologies.

What will you do?Contribute to the overall design and development of RBC's Cloud Big Data Platform.Collaborate closely with product owner, business analysts as well as business users including compliance/audit teams.Develop a deep understanding of Datasets across RBC's business domain.

Manage the development of scalable Big Data Architecture on PaaS.Ensure robust security management and privacy requirements are incorporated into PaaS solutions.Establishes Audit Standard, controls and processes to monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure spend.

Proactively seek out knowledge about new technologies and how they can be used to solve current and foreseeable challenges.Set high development standards by developing high-performant, reusable, reliable and efficient systems.Continuously work to build cost effective solutions that reduces the cloud operable costs by exploring compute on demand and storage data tiering.

Conduct performance benchmark tests to run big data workloads faster while keeping costs in mind.What do you need to succeed?Must-have4+ Years Hands on knowledge in Azure/AWS Architecting solutions for big data workloads.10+ years hands on Software engineering development background.

5+ years Databricks hands on knowledge, familiarly in deploying compute at scale with high availability and resiliency.3+ years with hands on knowledge in Terraform and AzureDevOps.Strong background in Cloud networking and Security.

8+ years' experience in Kubernetes Cluster management and deploying microservices in cloud.Nice-to-haveExperience with Agile' style development methods.DevOps experience with continuous integration/delivery best-practices, technologies and tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, Ansible, SonarQube, Checkmarx.

New York & New Jersey Base Salary Law DisclaimerThe good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $135K - $225K depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.
