Cardio-Thoracic Surgery - Per Diem - Physician Assistant at Banner University Medical Center in Tucson, AZ

Banner University Medical Group is seeking a Per Diem Physician Assistant to provide support to our Cardiothoracic Surgeons and team. This PA professional will be assisting CT surgeons in the OR setting in a first assistant or second assist capacity. Position requires working closely with Surgeons/Residents/Fellows and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care. You will also need to work independently to maintain patient flow efficiency.

Position Details

• Per Diem
• Experience with EVH is preferred.
• Predominantly in the OR taking conduit (vein, radial arteries), helping with prepping, draping, opening, closing, and transitioning patient safely to the ICU & other perioperative care
• OR call, including transplant.

Required Qualifications:

• 2-3 years CT Surgery/OR experience required (first assist experience is preferred)
• Current Board Certification
• Current Arizona License
• Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS.
• Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substance.
