DATA ENGINEER - GELDERLAND - 6 MONTHS PROJECT (Contract)

Global Enterprise Partners is currently looking for a Data engineer for a 6 months + project with our client in Gelderland
As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in architecture and implementing solutions that manage, process, and transform data into valuable insights to support our sustainability initiatives. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of developers, cloud engineers, and sustainability experts to build and optimize data pipelines, ensure data quality and leverage data analytics.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing robust data pipelines to collect, process, and distribute data efficiently across various platforms using our tech stack, with a focus on Azure Cloud services.
- Setting up and maintaining data warehouses to support Business Intelligence and data analytics initiatives.
- Implementing best practices for data modelling, storage, and retrieval to ensure high data quality and accessibility.
- Utilizing Scripting languages to automate data processing and integration tasks.
- Collaborating with the development team to integrate data solutions with cloud-based and on-premise applications.
- Contributing to the exploration and adoption of new data technologies and methodologies to enhance our data capabilities and support our sustainable technology solutions.
- Ensuring compliance with data privacy and security standards.
Functie eisen
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with expertise in data pipeline design, data warehousing, and data processing technologies.
- Strong background in Azure Cloud services, especially pertaining to data storage and processing.
- Proficiency in the development technologies listed in our tech stack, particularly with experience in data-related Scripting and automation tasks.
Tech Stack:
- Azure Cloud and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (eg, Terraform, Ansible).
- Development in C#/.NET, Azure, Entity Framework, Rest, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Atlassian, Git, Docker.
- Scripting languages (eg, Python, PowerShell, Bash).
- Monitoring and observability tools (eg, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, and data integration best practice.
- A passion for sustainability and a desire to contribute to CO2 neutrality goals.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Fluent in English; Dutch is not a requirement.
Arbeidsvoorwaarden
Assignment is in Nijmegen for 32 - 40 hours/week.
Start is ASAP for 6 months.
You can work hybrid, preferred is 2 days/week working in Nijmegen.
