Major Incident Manager (Contract)

Location: Remote work  Country: UK Rate: £500 - 550 per day
 
PAYE Agency worker contract
Remote with occasional office visits to London or Leeds

We need two Major Incident Managers to cover EU and US hours. This is NOT a traditional L1, L2, L3 environment, but a truly Agile tech function with an Embedded DevOps culture where the aim is for relevant tribes to operate and maintain the code they've pushed to prod.

Tech environment is Java, SpingBoot, AWS. Any technical appreciation of that stack, would be useful.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Monitor and drive the delivery and support of systems/services in compliance with the firm's IT service quality standards through the incident management process
  • Manage and recover IT services from a disrupted state as quickly as possible
  • Communicate recovery progress and impact status to stakeholders
  • Support the implementation of service quality policies, standards, tools and measures
  • Maintain company internal control standards, in line with, and championing compliance Policies
  • Maintain awareness of operational risk and minimise the likelihood of it occurring
  • Provide day-to-day support and control in specific incident management functions for designation portfolio of services/applications
  • Promote and drive continuous improvement in the incident management process
