Exciting Contract Opportunity for a Senior Buyer in IT Contracts!

The Opportunity

We have an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Buyer with a background in IT contracts to join our client's newly established team.

As a Senior Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in managing goods and service contracts within their IT function.

Your responsibilities

Supplier Pre-Qualification: Skilfully manage the supplier pre-qualification process, ensuring alignment with their procurement standards.

Tender Document Generation: Collaborate closely with the business to deliver comprehensive invitation-to-tender documents.

Value Assessment: Evaluate the value and affordability of tender submissions, contributing to informed decision-making.

Award Proposal Preparation: Based on the tender process outcome, prepare compelling award proposals that drive successful contract awards.

Contract Execution: Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to execute awarded contracts efficiently.

Contract Extension: Negotiate and extend existing contracts in accordance with agreed-upon timescales.

The ideal candidate will possess

Procurement Expertise: A strong understanding of the end-to-end procurement process.

Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Business Acumen: A keen commercial awareness to navigate complex contractual landscapes.

Additional Details

Determination: Inside IR35

Rate: Negotiable for the right candidate

Duration: 9 months (likely to extend)

Location: On-site presence required twice a week at our UK leading utilities organization.
