Active Directory Subject Matter Expert

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires Active Directory Subject Matter Expert to be based at their client's office in London, Paddington UK.

This is a hybrid role - you can work remotely in the UK and attend the London office 3 days per week .

This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start ASAP

Day rate: Competitive Market rate

Key Responsibilities

• Providing end-to-end support for the complete AD and Azure AD Hybrid infrastructure.
• Monitor the production environment by monitoring health check reports and taking a holistic view of system health.
• Partner with other Infra teams and vendors to improve AD and Azure AD service performance, availability, and reliability.
• Participate in system design, platform management, and capacity planning.
• Resolve production and non-production incidents along with Incident Reduction and Optimisation
• Provide SME (Subject Matter Expert) support during major Incidents, risk mitigation, root cause analysis and solution design scenarios.
• Provide regular knowledge transfer sessions to groom resources in the team.

Key Requirements

• AD Recovery (Required)
• AD Remediation (Required)
• Minimum years of Industry Exp: 15+
• Minimum years in Active Directory: 9+
• Experience on AD and Azure AD Administration.
• Troubleshooting AD Replication issues and performing DC health check validations.
• Expert knowledge in administering AD (Multi domain Environment) and AAD in hybrid environments.
• Good knowledge in administering AAD Support Services such as AAD, Conditional Access Policies, Multifactor Authentication, AAD Self Service Password Reset (SSPR) and AAD Connect.
• Have knowledge in managing and troubleshooting Azure AD Connect Servers during sync issues between OnPrem AD and Azure AD.
• Good knowledge in management and migration of Internal AD PKI Services.
• Expert knowledge in designing, testing, and deploying and maintaining Active Directory Group Policy (GPO) for the purpose of securing Domain Controllers, Domain Member Servers, and Domain Member Workstations.
• Good knowledge of PowerShell Scripting with AD and Azure AD modules and ability to write scripts based on the requirements.
• Experience working with cyber security teams to actively update AAD conditional Access policy and AD Group Policies determined by cyber security threats and operational requirements.
• Deep understanding of Modern Authentication and Authorisation protocols such as SAML, Open ID Connect, Oath 2.0.
• Depth knowledge on AD Replication and Disaster Recovery mechanisms.
• Knowledge on SSO Configuration and Supported protocols.
• Knowledge of Multi Domain environment management.
• Experience in PowerShell Script.
• Manage AAD Connect Server and PKI Services in AD Infra.

Nice to have:

• Entra Conditional Access policies.
• SSO.
• MFA.
• Familiarity with enterprise JML process.
• Good communication skills with the persona to build relationships with business colleagues and communicate on business terms.
• Analytical and decision making skills.
