Senior Electronics Engineer (Permanent)

Location: Bristol/Remote Country: UK Rate: £50k - £70k
 

Summary:

A world-leading test equipment company that helps utility companies install, protect, and maintain infrastructure networks is entering an exciting phase of hardware development. They are seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to help shape the direction of the next generation of underground location products.

This role sits within the New Product Development (NPD) team, responsible for executing the technology and product roadmaps. You will lead technical research to increase maturity and decrease risk in upcoming projects. As landscapes continuously evolve, you'll ensure roadmaps align and research feeds into robust products.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading and owning work packages from inception through completion
  • Mentoring junior engineers and leading technical/cross-functional teams
  • Providing technical interface to product management, developing concepts aligned to roadmaps
  • Applying electronics engineering knowledge to plan, lead, and execute design tasks
  • Developing technical solutions requiring ingenuity and creativity

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in Electronic Engineering or similar
  • Skilled all-round electronics designer
  • Strong analog design, test, PSU, EMC/regulatory, simulation, manufacturing test experience
  • Debugging of processor-based hardware
  • Board documentation and software team liaison
  • Extensive product development background
  • Ability to lead and mentor technical teams
