My client, within Financial Services, are looking for a Senior ACI Network Engineer for an initial 6 Month Contract.

The role is FULLY REMOTE and INSIDE of IR35.

This position is paying £700 P/D

The chosen candidate will be responsible for being the main technical point of contact with regards to the connectivity component of a new service for this financial institution. You will be responsible for the validation,build up and prepararion of a number of small to medium to scale designs patterns, configuration management and deployment of a number of Cisco ACI fabrics and network touch points to enable connectivity for said service.

In this role you will support the deployment of a number of network changes mostly Cisco ACI technology, as well as Cisco NX-OS and IOS based networks. You will serve as the network technical lead for any architectural changes to be submitted to architectural review and change management boards, systems and procedures if necessary.

Project tasks:

-Point of contact for the majority technical activities (design, document, propose, execute, maintain) related to the network domain within the wider project rollout.

-Work with field engineering teams performing site-specific installation of required network fabric in order to ensure high standard, measurable outcomes are successfully achieved.

Skills

• Previous experience in Cisco ACI deployment/engineering/architecture roles in a network centric mode.
• Strong knowledge of how Tenant/App Profile/BD/EPG/Contract constructs interact in order to provide fabric connectivity to a given.
• Good security and knowledge of datacenter networking and associated routing and switching requirements, as well as providing Fabric to Network connectivity via L3 OUT.
• Good understanding of Cisco UCS platforms and how they support other components in the wider Cisco ecosystem, such as ACI, Nexus Dashboard, etc.
• Solid understanding of Nexus 9000 devices and architectures running both in ACI and in NX-OS.
• Previous experience working with Cisco IOS or IOS-XR based platforms, such as Cisco ASR 9000 and Cisco NCS 5000 platform will be benefitial
• Strong knowledge of cloud environments and associated Cloud based security protocols and controls
• CCNP Qualified or Equivalent Experience
• Solid Cisco ACI and NXOS Exposure
