At our R&D technology center in Alzenau near Frankfurt am Main, we develop vacuum coating equipment and diverse processes for a wide range of applications.

Process Engineer for OLED Vacuum Systems

Your key responsibilities as a Process Engineer

  • Design, collect data, analyze, and compile reports on process engineering experiments.
  • Perform hardware characterization on a variety of systems, within safety guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot complex problems, perform Root Cause Analysis, and resolve process engineering challenges.
  • Coordinates design requirement review with appropriate R&D team to ensure compatibility of processing methods. Compile and evaluate test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications.
  • Generate internal and external documentation for products, generate presentations and technical reports.
  • Interact with customers to resolve process engineering challenges.
  • Measure film properties and interpret data.
  • Identify, select, and work with vendors and suppliers.
  • Implement new technology, products, and analytical instrumentation.

Your education and experience

  • Master's Degree in a relevant field of study (chemistry, physics, materials science) or similar.
  • Work experience of 5 years and knowledge of vacuum deposition technology would be a distinct advantage.
  • Independent working style and willingness to take initiatives.
  • Good written and spoken English; any additional language skills, such as Japanese or Chinese would be of particular interest for this role.
  • Willingness for international business trips to customer sites mainly in Asia (approx. 30%)
