Our client in the Financial Services industry, is looking for a strong Back End software developer to design, implement and test .NET micro-services. A software Engineer with experience in containers and message queues is required to implement this new system. This engineer will work in a team to ensure the new implementation aligns with the existing architecture and patterns. The new reconciliation platform will align different bank areas (Back Office & Implementation, and external vendors). You will be part of a dynamic and diverse team of developers.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Design, implement and test .NET micro-services as part of an agile DevSecOps team

Document design and implementation decisions.

Must haves:

At least 5+ years' development experience as a software developer in banking environment (*)

2 years of Program Language - C#/.NET Core, micro-services and containers (Kubernetes or ideally OpenShift) (*)

Strong hands-on experience with message queues (ideally Kafka), relational and non-relational databases (HDFS is a plus), modern CI/CD pipelines, Enterprise Log Management platforms (eg ELK stack) (*)

Well experience with database Management: Learn database concepts, SQL (Structured Query Language), and database management systems (eg, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) (*)

A university-level degree in information management, computer science or related field (*)

Interpersonal skills:

An open mind: someone who will enjoy the exposure to different experts and areas both within and outside the organization, and continually improve, learn and adapt with the team context

Good problem solving and root cause analysis approach

Ability to take the initiative and organize own work; flexibility; service orientation; ability to perform under pressure against tight deadlines

Nice to have:

A passion for clean code, software craftsmanship and automated testing (TDD a plus), and the ability to impart this knowledge to others

Solid knowledge of design and integration patterns, in particular event-driven architecture

Excellent presentation skills, as well as, oral and written English skills; a second major language a plus
