We are looking for a customer-centric, dynamic marketing individual who can create and execute marketing strategies to help Mobile Advice Team grow and manage their client base.

The Marketing Manager is responsible for the development of marketing and sales support to build awareness of the Mobile Advice Team (MAT) and drive client acquisition and client engagement. This includes the development and management of client-facing materials, website, client events, and digital and direct campaigns.

The incumbent will be responsible for collaborating with MAT and other key stakeholders, functional teams and outside vendors to ensure a targeted approach for key marketing initiatives and marketing campaigns.

In order to be successful, the position requires a solid understanding of financial services industry, financial planning fundamentals, excellent project management and relationship building skills, and passionate about content marketing, direct and digital channels, especially social media

Key Job Accountabilities:

Contributes to the success of Mobile Advice Team by supporting the planning, coordination and execution of marketing initiatives.

Collaborate with Regional Directors and Investment Specialists to ensure local/individual business building needs are represented and ensure that sales force is aware of national marketing programs and marketing tools to support their business objectives.

Develop and execute strategies to help mobile advice team acquire new mass affluent clients that include, but not limited to client events and seminars, local market advertising that includes print, digital and out-of-home, trade shows, sponsorships and direct marketing offers.

Drive creative writing process/write copy as required for social media programs, local advertisements, flyers, and client communications through appropriate internal and external providers to ensure appropriate language and tone that is consistent with Scotiabank brand.

Develop content and manage the production of a wide range of client-facing and advisor marketing materials including PowerPoint decks, flyers, newsletters, letters and other publications to enhance sales force capability and client experience.

Liaise with internal marketing partners in Scotiabank and to ensure brand consistency, alignment with national marketing campaigns and to leverage appropriate marketing expertise.

Ensure all marketing and communications pieces for Investment Specialists (advertisements, flyers, seminars, invitations etc.) are created using appropriate design resources, compliant across visual elements, verbiage/tone and manner, logos and disclaimers, as well as adherence to dealer and National Instrument requirements.

Assist with managing client events, from concept to completion, working collaboratively with event planners when appropriate, developing invitations, client takeaways, and ensuring operational efficiency within budgets assigned to generate maximum exposure and effectiveness.

Co-ordinate local advertising activities, including researching publications, out-of-home placements, sponsorships, community events, and negotiating rates with third party providers, and ensuring timely delivery of creative.

Remain abreast of competitive activity and key trends by liaising with other marketing departments and Global Brand and Customer Insights, including culling insights and making recommendations on future initiatives.

Assist Regional Directors with recruitment activities that include marketing support for recruiting events, LinkedIn ads, testimonials and national campaigns to help build out teams in new markets.

Tracking and reporting.

Manage marketing budget and track expenses for various regions

Maintain tracking of marketing activities and results based on relevant metrics for each activity (ie new clients, closed sales, new assets on CRM platform - salesforce).

Look for new and effective ways to track ROI for marketing initiatives.

Obtain appropriate approvals and ensure sign offs are properly tracked and filed to meet compliance standards.

Contribute to effective functioning of the Marketing Team:

Manage/Lead projects or development of materials as required/assigned by the Senior Manager including marketing programs related to salesforce

Effectively manage multiple projects of varying scope, strategic impact and complexity and deliver projects on strategy, on time, on budget.

Support the Sr. Manager in various projects that have applications across the field

Proactively share marketing best practices and learnings with peers and partners.

Build effective working relationships across the team and with various business line and corporate function contacts

Encourage the generation of new ideas and approaches

Actively share knowledge and experience to enhance the development of all team members

Social Media Programs.

Enhance social media presence of mass affluent salesforce through approved platforms (LinkedIn and Facebook) through developing social campaigns to help salesforce nurture existing client relationships, engage with new prospects, increase awareness of the IS value proposition, and increase COI networks.

Manage Social Media Content Library by sourcing external content, re-purposing content from other business lines and/or creating new content on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.

Review content suggestions from mobile advice team to ensure consistent brand positioning, sources are credible, there are no guarantees, and add to content library where appropriate.

Provide training to Investment Specialists on Hearsay Social (which may include functioning platform training and how social media can help advisors build awareness, generate leads and keep current clients engaged.

Work with the Bank's social media teams and other business units to leverage best practices, deliver joint campaigns where appropriate to amplify social media messages.
