Here is how you can make a difference in this global pandemic. We are looking for a nurse who is passionate in providing exceptional care and thrives in a fast-pace dynamic role. In this temporary position, you will conduct employee health screening for COVID-19 related concerns, managing through to clearance to return to the work site and provide support to the nurse triage team. You will also lead the stand up of a larger nurse triage team, if an escalated pandemic response is required.

You will use your expertise to :

  • Escalate appropriate inquiries to occupational health physician, nurse practitioner, COVID triage team lead or HR as necessary
  • Analyze medical and non-medical data to identify trending data and risks
  • Manage Cority data quality audits to ensure data accurately supports stewardship reports
  • Support oversight of various jurisdictional requirements for managing COVID-19
  • Take on additional or alternate initiatives and/or priorities when required
  • Develop a strong relationship with COVID triage team and supporting functions including Health and Wellness Integration, Site Services, and Integrated Disability Management
  • Provide back-up coverage for the COVID triage coordinator and COVID triage team lead

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Three or more years of relevant experience, industry experience is preferred
  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Licence to practice in Alberta and hold a current registration with College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA)
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality
  • The ability to anticipate potential problems and check for out-of-the-ordinary conditions, as well as having a strong sense of accountability
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking skills with a continuous improvement focus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong collaboration skills that enables you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups
  • Non-authoritative leadership and influencing skills
  • Alignment with our values : safety above all else, stronger together, operational discipline, curiosity and lifelong learning, and act with integrity

Preference for:

  • Bilingual (English and French) - please submit your resume in English
  • Occupational Health Nurse Certificate
  • Emergency response centre experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of SAP and ServiceNow
  • Knowledge of Cority

Where you'll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:

  • You will work from home and 1-2 days out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 - 6th Ave S.W. (All Suncor locations will be considered)
  • The shift schedule is a rotating 12-hour shift to support a 7-day week service delivery
  • Additional hours may be required based on business needs
  • This is a temporary position until June 2021
  • This position requires the ability to handle heavy workload and multiple demands from various sources
