Site Superintendent Low-Rise Residential Barrie ON We are Honeyfield Communities (http://www.honeyfield.ca/), a progressive, well-established low and mid-rise residential builder, and we've been building beautiful homes and communities since 1971.

We are passionate about the home building industry and have a desire to make a meaningful impact on the community we serve. We are currently looking for a new Site Superintendent - someone who will bring excellent interpersonal skills, and strong problem-solving abilities to our award-winning team. Site Superintendent In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations related to all stages of construction.

You will have freedom and flexibility to schedule your day as needed to monitor trade performance, project procedures, and ensure safety requirements are being upheld to Ontario Building Code as well as local municipal requirements. Your ability to understand the needs of each contracted group while ensuring deadlines are met will be essential to your success in this role. You will be working closely with the Head Site Superintendent, supporting builds from rough to finish.

Practically speaking, you will:. Manage work on site to ensure the compliance of construction with the drawings and specifications Support the Head Site Superintendent in planning and implementing schedules, determining manpower levels, material quantities, inspections, and equipment Oversee the construction schedule and direct all related trades on site Monitor project progress and providing technical guidance as needed Advise Head Site Superintendent and Construction Manager of potential problems, and schedule difficulties and assist in resolving these problems Perform daily walk through of homes to ensure Quality standards are being adhered to Produce regular project reports and complete administrative duties as required. Success in this role will require excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You should take the initiative to self direct when new tasks present themselves. Keen attention to detail, a high level of organization and the ability to set and manage competing priorities are attributes required in this role. Those with a high independent work ethic will excel in this position.

Working at Honeyfield Communities This is a full-time, permanent position with hours from Monday to Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm. You will receive a salary commensurate with experience, as well as 2 weeks paid vacation time and benefits. You will be primarily working out of our latest development site at the south end of Barrie.

If you are interested in joining an organization that is focused on making an impact, then we want to hear from you! Qualifications. 5+ years of experience supervising of residential low-rise construction. Solid working knowledge on Tarion's Construction Performance Guidelines.

Proficient with MS Office (word, excel, outlook), experience working on Newstar is an asset. Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze and respond efficiently and effectively to issues and obstacles as they arise.
