MUST HAVE expertise in BMD (Buying, Merchandising, Design)

As a Change Manager specializing in Retail Buying, Merchandising, and Design (BMD), you will play a pivotal role in leading change initiatives that enhance our retail processes, strategies, and outcomes. With your expertise in BMD and proven change management skills, you will drive the successful implementation of initiatives aimed at optimizing our retail operations and delivering exceptional value to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Buying, Merchandising, Design, Operations, and IT to identify areas for improvement and develop change strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of change initiatives related to retail buying, merchandising, and design, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timelines.
  • Assess organizational readiness for change, identify potential risks and barriers, and develop mitigation plans to drive successful implementation.
  • Engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization to secure buy-in, foster collaboration, and drive alignment towards change objectives.
  • Develop and deliver effective communication plans to keep stakeholders informed, engaged, and motivated throughout the change process.
  • Provide coaching, training, and support to employees impacted by change, fostering a culture of adaptability and resilience.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives, gathering feedback, analysing performance metrics, and making adjustments as needed to drive continuous improvement.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on retail buying, merchandising, and design practices, providing guidance and expertise to support strategic decision-making and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Retail Merchandising, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

Desirable

  • Additional course or certification in Change Management
  • Experience in the Retail sector
  • Certified functional consultant in any one specific domain

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Change Manager or similar role, with a focus on retail buying, merchandising, and design (BMD) operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of retail industry trends, best practices, and challenges, particularly in the areas of buying, merchandising, and design.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change, build consensus, and overcome resistance to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Experience with change management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Willingness to travel to Dublin weekly as required.
