Middleware Technical Lead (Contract)
Location: Manchester Country: UK Rate: £750 - £800 per day
Middleware Technical Lead - Resilience.* Hybrid working 2 days office
Contract, up to £800/day (inside IR35)
Leading financial services client is looking for a Middleware Technical Lead focused on resilience who will ensure the smooth and secure flow of data across critical processes. Your focus will be on safeguarding this journey against potential risks and vulnerabilities.
70% technical, with abilility to articulate at C-suite level/Directors
Key requirements:
- Previous experience leading Middleware teams whilst supporting infrastructure to ensure resilience of key IBS assets.
- Knowledge of providing guidance on Middleware and ETL assessments to identify potential gaps impacting IBS Impact Tolerance thresholds.
- Track record of developing strategies for Operational Resilience.
- Experience leading definition of critical batch processes.
- Ability to contribute insights to group policies and procedures.
- Confidence in communicating with stakeholders across different levels.
Technical background:
- 10+ years' experience in Infrastructure administration, Middleware & integration.
- Experience of event streaming and batch processing, including point-to-point data transfer
- Proficient in Cryptographic key management and encryption deployments.
- Knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, zOS, F5) and network protocols
- Familiar with analytic platforms and databases such as MSSQL, Kafka, S3, etc
- Experience in data movement tooling (IBM MQ, IBM Connect:Direct, sFTP)
- Strong experience (desirable certification) in Disaster Recovery, back-up and restore, cyber threats and monitoring, data encryption domains.
