Founded in 2010, Shield Lab leads the research of cryptography and information security at our client. We identify key security problems that challenge traditional security fundamentals in emerging ICT applications, such as 5G mobile networks, cloud computing and mobile Internet services. We conduct leading-edge research projects, and deliver innovative outputs in the area of cryptography and information security that help our corporation to establish competiveness in enterprise, consumer and operator markets.

Position Summary:
We are expanding the team by recruiting a talented, highly motivated senior or junior consultant in PQC, applied cryptography and standardization. Candidates should have solid knowledge in cryptographic algorithms and security protocols and rich experience for standardizing cryptographic algorithms and/or security protocols in international bodies (IETF, ISO, IEEE etc). Successful candidate will join a team of cryptographic experts to conduct world-class research in PQC and applied cryptography. They will participate in the analysis of emerging security threats, design innovative solutions. Internationally competitive salary package will be offered to qualified candidate.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop solutions for real-world security problems.
    • Implement innovative solutions according to security requirements from our client's product lines while fulfilling various constraints imposed by aspects such as compliance, manufacturing process, hardware capability, performance, cost, etc.
    • Develop prototypes and deliver results.
  • Standardizecryptographic algorithms and security protocols at international bodies.
    • Develop standardizing plans and collaborate with colleagues for standardization activities.
    • Participate and standardize related technologies in cryptographic algorithms and security protocols at various international bodies, including IETF, ISO, and IEEE.
    • Prepare standardization documents, and develop running code when necessary.

Desired Skills & Experience
Skills/Qualifications:

  • Hold M.Sc or Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, Cryptography, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Have 5 or more years of work experience in areas related to information security and/or applied cryptography and/or PQC.
  • Rich standardization experience in international bodies, like IETF, ISO, IEEE, ETSI.
  • Solid skills in at least one programming language, like C, C++, Java, Python, or Shell Scripts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English.
  • Self-motivated with strong sense of responsibility.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge in multiple areas ofcryptology is desirable, including but not limited to:
    • Post-quantum cryptography and its migration
    • Public-key cryptography algorithms and proof skills
    • Symmetric key algorithms and analysis
    • Formal verification tools and modelling
    • Applied cryptography (eg authentication protocols, key exchange protocols)
    • Internet security protocols (eg TLS, IPSec, IKEv2, telephony-based security protocols)
    • Foundations & solutions for real-world cryptography.
