Jobshark.com Introduces Real-Time Job Tracking for Recruiters

TORONTO (January 29, 2001) - Jobshark.com has responded to the needs of recruiters by introducing a new web site that makes it easier than ever for them to manage the entire online recruiting process.

The new Recruiter's Center at employers now enables real time tracking of the entire online hiring process, including the number of applications received, interviews granted and fill status, as well as a comparison of results with traditional recruiting methods. The new site also consolidates all key information -- client account history, job activity and results -- onto one page, simplifying management of the account.

"Our extensive research with recruiters revealed that they are looking for a one-stop solution to management of their online recruiting needs," says Matthew von Teichman, President of jobshark.com. "Our new Recruiter Centre also delivers on their requests for built-in reporting and tracking, superior candidate sorting, more sophisticated matching and screening and unsurpassed client service."

The site features a number of exciting new features and upgrades that respond directly to recruiter needs, including:

  • A central 'My Job Manager' tool that consolidates a client's account history, job activity and results onto one page, simplifying client management of their account.
  • A flexible online filing system enables recruiters to sort candidates by rating (excellent, good, fair), alphabetically by name or by status (new, viewed, saved). Resumes can be easily printed or forwarded to others within the organization.
  • A sophisticated reporting and tracking system enables recruiters to track the overall performance of each job from start to finish and to compare results against traditional recruiting methods. Recruiters can now track how many JAWS matching emails were sent out to pre-qualified individuals, how many applications were received, the number of interviews granted, if the position was filled, when and how the position was filled (i.e. jobshark.com, newspaper ad, internal referral etc.).
  • Recruiters can use jobshark.com as their company's own career centre and internal hiring system by providing reciprocal links between jobshark.com's corporate profile section and their company's career section on their own website.
  • Recruiters can now evaluate top candidates online through validated psychometric profiles that measure their inherent characteristics, behavioural style and attitudes, helping recruiters more accurately identify potential 'stars' even before interviewing begins.
  • The Recruiter Centre also provides a detailed description of jobshark.com's products, pricing and benefits along with a user-friendly online payment system.

"We're continuously looking for ways to simplify and enhance the online recruiting experience for our clients," says von Teichman. "The new Recruiter Centre provides recruiters with a 'one stop shopping' experience that will save them time, money and give them an edge up in the highly competitive recruiting industry."
