JOBSHARK ANNOUNCES LAUNCH INTO IRELAND
WITH APPOINTMENT OF NEW CHAIRMAN

~ Geoffrey Read Joins Internet Based Recruiter ~

JobShark UK today launches into Ireland and has appointed Geoffrey Read, founder of Ballygowan Water Group Ltd, as Chairman of its board. JobShark.ie will provide Irish recruiters with a valuable database of 48,000 plus registered applicants in Ireland and the UK, from whom they can recruit. The launch into Ireland coincides with the efforts of the Irish government to repatriate talented professionals and satisfy the growing shortage of technical skills within a booming Irish economy.

As Chairman of the UK board Geoffrey Read will be responsible for overseeing the launch and development of JobShark into the Irish recruitment market, as well as being involved in developing the company as a whole. As well as founding and creating the largest privately-owned bottled water company in Britain and Ireland, Mr Read also founded Reads World of Wine Ltd and is Chairman of London Irish Holdings Ltd, owners of London Irish rugby club.

JobShark.ie will offer positions in the engineering, education telecoms, IT, legal professions, with skills being adapted for the local market where necessary. JobShark is not a bulletin board for jobs or a database of resumes, instead, its unique software matches applicant skills to employers’ requirements, significantly broadening the range of Irish professionals who can find new jobs online.
